Your Role as a Support Worker
As a Support Worker at Beaches Care, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, well-being, and meaningful participation in the community. You’ll work closely with participants to support their individual goals, build trusted relationships, and deliver care that is respectful, consistent and responsive to their needs – both at home and in the community.
Your usual responsibilities may include:
Providing one-on-one support tailored to individual support plans
Assisting with daily living tasks, routines and personal care
Supporting community access and social activities
Encouraging independence, choice and skill development
Maintaining clear, professional shift notes and documentation
Working collaboratively with participants, families, other client support systems and the Beaches Care team
Assisting participants to achieve their goals
Upholding NDIS Practice Standards, privacy and duty of care at all times
